Welcome to PCI-2023
The Organizing Committee of the 15th International Conference on the Physics and Chemistry of Ice (PCI-2023) is pleased to distribute the 2nd circular to all people who are interested in participating in the PCI-2023, which will be held in Sapporo, Japan, from September 3 to 8, 2023. Although this conference was originally scheduled in September 2022, it was postponed for one year because of the Covid-19. The PCI conferences were held previously in 1966, 1991, 2010 in Sapporo, Hokkaido, the northernmost island in Japan. We cordially invite all of you to the fourth one in Sapporo, to enjoy active and fruitful discussions in all fields related to physics and chemistry of ice.
The PCI-2023 will be held at the Conference Hall in the campus of Hokkaido University, located in the center of Sapporo. We are proud of organizing the PCI-2022 conference in Hokkaido University, where Prof. Ukichiro Nakaya succeeded in growing artificial snow crystals for the first time in 1936 and since then many pioneering studies were performed on snow and ice. Hokkaido University is also famous for its very beautiful campus in Japan.
We are planning to hold an enjoyable and fruitful conference. Therefore, we would be very grateful if you could kindly give us your suggestions. This conference offers opportunities to deliver and discuss the most up-to-date topics on the physics and chemistry of ice. The conference will include invited talks, selected oral presentations, and poster presentations.
